Elgorriaga, the first chocolate company in Spain, was born from the tradition and good work of the master craftsmen of cacao, located in the north of Spain during the 18th century.

The company was founded in 1770 when the Elgorriaga family opened the first chocolate shop in our country. Based in Irún (Guipúzcoa), it counted among its most loyal clients with King Alfonso XIII and the Spanish Royal House.

Since then Elgorriaga is synonymous with Quality and tradition, being pioneers in the development and introduction of new products present in the memory and Spanish homes.

The first factory of Chocolates Elgorriaga is created, called Elgorriaga Chocolates S.A.

1968
Elgorriaga launches his chocolate tablet Milkcream, the first white chocolate bar that is sold in Spain

The manufacture of the popular chocolate tablet of La Campana de Elgorriaga begins.

1979
The company opens a new factory in Ávila, where the production of the popular products begins CHOCOLATE CREAM COOKIES

2008
The retro image of La Campana and its characteristic yellow color is recovered
